# Use your agent on a totem or physical device

AIsuru includes a `TOTEM` sharing layout designed for touchscreen devices and physical installations.

Use it when people interact with the Agent from a shared dedicated screen rather than from their own computer or phone.

Typical contexts include:

* information kiosks;
* events and trade shows;
* receptions;
* retail locations;
* museums;
* other dedicated touchscreen installations.

### Create a TOTEM layout

Create a dedicated sharing layout for the physical installation and select `TOTEM` as the layout type.

Configure its appearance, avatar, interface options, initial context, role, languages, timeout, and other supported settings in the same way as any other sharing layout.

For the complete configuration flow, see:

* Choose the right layout;
* Create and customize a layout;
* Advanced layout settings.

### Use a dedicated layout for the installation

Each sharing layout has its own link and configuration.

Using a separate TOTEM layout lets you adapt the physical-device experience independently from the layouts used on your website, customer portal, or direct links.

For example, the totem can use its own:

* visual configuration;
* initial context;
* initial question;
* role;
* language settings;
* timeout behavior.

See Manage multiple layouts for details.

### Test the physical experience

Before making the installation available to visitors, test the exact layout on the device and verify that the configured interface, avatar, audio, language, and conversation behavior are appropriate for the screen and interaction context.
