# Create and customize a layout

The **Layout Management** page lets you configure how a sharing layout looks and which features are available to users.

Each layout is configured independently, so you can create different sharing experiences for the same Agent.

Leave these fields empty for the default configuration or compile them to have your own customized widget styles

### Options

* **Name: e**nter a name for the layout. Use a descriptive name that helps you identify where or how the layout is used, especially if the Agent has multiple layouts.\
  For example: `Company website`, `Customer portal`, or `Event kiosk.`
* **Layout: s**elect the layout type you want to use. The layout determines the overall structure in which the Agent is presented to users.\

* **Global background:** configure the background of the overall sharing experience.

  Select **Upload an image** to upload a custom background image.

  The uploaded file must:

  * use the PNG, JPG, or JPEG format;
  * have a maximum size of **2 MB**.

  Choose an image with sufficient dimensions and resolution to be displayed full-screen.
* **Blur background: e**nable this option to apply a blur effect to the global background.
* **Enable audio:** enable or disable audio capabilities for the Agent.
* **Show reasoning: d**isplay reasoning information in the interface when available.
* **Show message consumption:** display information about message consumption in the widget.
* **Show indicator for automatically AI-generated contents:** show an indicator for content that has been automatically generated using AI.
* **Show 'Why this answer?' button:** display the Why this answer? button, allowing users to access additional information about the Agent's response when available.
* **Apply math formulae formatting:** apply dedicated formatting to mathematical expressions contained in messages.
* **Show social sharing button:** display the social sharing button in the widget.
* **Enable settings panel:** make the widget's settings panel available to users.

### Upload settings

Use the **Upload settings** section to control document uploads through this layout.

* **Max characters per document:** define the maximum number of characters that a single uploaded document can contain.
* **Show upload documents button:** display the button that allows users to upload documents during the conversation.

### Text area

Use the **Text area** section to configure the message input area.

* **Max characters in textarea:** define the maximum number of characters users can enter in the message input area.

  When you configure a limit, a character counter is displayed above the text area.

  If you leave this field empty, the default limit of **100,000 characters** is applied.

### Inner background

* **Inner background:** configure the background displayed inside the widget.

  Use **Select background** to choose the background you want to use.

  The **Global background** and **Inner background** control different areas of the experience: Global background applies to the overall page, while Inner background applies to the widget itself.

### Multilanguage

* **Multilanguage:** enable this option to allow users to talk to the Agent in other languages by automatically translating content;

  **Multilanguage** is available only when the widget is used with a **public page**.

### Avatar

* **Avatar:** select the avatar that should be displayed in this layout.

  The selected avatar applies to this specific sharing experience.

### Colors

Use the **Colors** section to customize the main colors used by the widget.

* **Text:** define the color used for text;
* **Buttons background:** define the background color used for buttons;
* **Buttons text:** define the text color used inside buttons.
